Summary • We start by detailing how climate change presents market risks and opportunities through four channels: 1) physical: more frequent and severe weather events over the long term; 2) technological: advances in energy storage, electric vehicles (EVs) or energy efficiency undermining existing business models; 3) regulatory: tightening emissions. In addition to detailed chapters exploring these and related issues, the Report contains selected data from the World Bank's new program of Investment Climate Surveys, the Bank's Doing Business Project, and World Development Indicators ‹an appendix of economic and social data for over countries.

The investment bank says climate change “reflects a global market failure in the sense that producers and consumers of CO2 emissions do not pay for the climate damage that results.”. A strategic investment is defined as an investment of public interest, based on several criteria, including the size of the investment, implementation time, productivity and value added, creation of jobs, sectoral economic priorities, and regional and local economic development.

Investing concerns over climate change fall within the realms of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) investing, which has been expanding in research and utional investment. We have no reports of restrictions from U.S. investors. There are no licensing restrictions particular to foreign investors and no requirement for mandatory domestic partners for joint ventures. Other Investment Policy Reviews. Kosovo is not a member of OECD, WTO, or UNCTAD; there are no investment policy reviews from these organizations.
